Satvi Women’s Empowerment Association is a pioneering Section 8, non-profit company started in 2017. We are dedicated to empowering women with the tools, knowledge and support they need to foster holistic growth. We believe that women can break free from the cycle of poverty to become architects of a brighter future, promoting progress that touches lives, uplifts spirits and shapes a more equitable society for all. Key to success is the establishment of independent cooperative, training programs and enrichment opportunities. At Satvi, we recognize economic empowerment as the fundamental stride towards change. Women from marginalized backgrounds are encouraged to establish co-operatives, engaging in sewing and embroidery to craft women’s apparel for the U.S. market. This journey encompasses not only production competence but also cooperative management, including production planning, quality assurance, and financial acumen. Through this comprehensive endeavour, these women cultivate skills that amplify their influence within their families and communities, catalyzing true social and cultural change. |
